Protagonist of both books. A tuner: someone who listens to places and signals with Neural Orbit nodes at her temple, 'a tuner trained to read frequencies in human behavior'. In Part 1 she walks the Concourse hoping for one honest minute without being optimized, then runs from the Correction beside Patrice. In Part 2 she describes herself as one of 'six people who can hear the other hum'.
In the films her Neural Orbit nodes show as a blue-violet constellation on her left cheekbone and temple; the books place them at her right temple.
