This policy covers the creative material published on ManifestCity2201.com and explains permissions and how to report a copyright concern. MANIFEST CITY 2201 was created by Jason Caston. A DigixData production.
1. Ownership and protected material
Unless a work or license states otherwise, protected material belongs to DigixData, Jason Caston or their respective licensors and credited rights holders. This can include the Echoes novels and excerpts, scripts and dialogue, character depictions and worldbuilding as expressed in protected works, films and creative edits, illustrations and other artwork, audio where owned or licensed, and website text, code and design.
The published credit and applicable license for a particular work remain relevant. This policy does not transfer ownership between a creator, publisher, production company or licensor. Third-party works remain the property of their respective owners.
2. AI-assisted production
Some film and visual material uses AI-assisted production, as disclosed on the site. Copyright claims extend to protectable human-authored contributions, including original writing and creative editing, selection and arrangement, where applicable. This notice does not assert copyright over material that the law does not protect.
3. Limited permissions
You may view the website and films through the features we provide, share official links, and print or save a reasonable number of website pages for personal, non-commercial reference. Keep relevant credits and rights notices.
You may quote brief, reasonable excerpts for reviews, commentary, criticism, news reporting, teaching, scholarship or research with clear credit to the work and its credited creator, and an online link to the source where practical. A quotation should not substitute for the original or misrepresent its meaning.
These permissions do not grant a license to reproduce a full book, film, chapter or substantial collection of artwork. A separately purchased or licensed work remains subject to the terms that accompany it.
4. Uses requiring permission
Except where permitted by applicable law, a valid license or the limited permissions above, written permission is required before you:
- Copy, reupload, republish, distribute or sell films, book text, artwork or substantial portions of the website.
- Create or sell adaptations, derivative works or merchandise using protected Manifest City material.
- Remove or alter authorship, copyright or other proprietary notices.
- Bulk-harvest protected content or use it to train or fine-tune AI or machine-learning models.
Fair use, public-domain status, statutory exceptions and valid third-party or open-source licenses are not overridden by this policy. The presence of a copyright notice does not itself determine whether a particular element is protected.
5. Licensing requests
For publishing, screenings, substantial excerpts, artwork reuse, adaptations, merchandise or other licensing requests, email the business contact below. Identify the work, the material requested, your intended use, audience, distribution and duration. Permission is granted only when the relevant rights holder confirms it in writing, and only for the approved use.
6. Reporting a copyright concern
If you believe material on this website infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, email our copyright contact with the subject “Manifest City Copyright Notice.” Include:
- Your name and contact details, and whether you are the owner or an authorized representative.
- Identification of the copyrighted work and the specific website URL of the disputed material.
- An explanation of the concern and any relevant authorization or license information.
- Your physical or electronic signature and, for a statutory notice, the statements and other information required by applicable law.
We will review reports and respond as appropriate under applicable law. Please consider licenses and legal exceptions before submitting a claim. Knowingly false infringement allegations may have legal consequences. Where a statutory notice or counter-notice process applies, its requirements govern. Information may be shared with the relevant rights holder, content provider or service provider as needed to investigate or follow that process.
7. Related policies and updates
